Jardin Transitorio: New York Fashion Week Fall|Winter 2017
Y así comenzó el fashion week, con una de las tormentas de nieve mas fuertes que he visto desde que me mudé a New York! El tipo de viento que empuja pero el hey show tenía que continuar y así fue! Nicholas K fue el primero en presentar su colección. Una colección con un aire gitano moderno y accesorios que le daban la bienvenida al año lunar.
No estoy segura si el problema soy yo o que, pero la mayoría de los shows y colecciones que vi me parecieron super monotonos, los 15-20 minutos que dura un show me la pasé bostezando detras de la cámara y orando para que ser terminara. Muy pocas colecciones llamaron mi atención e hicieron brillar mi cerebro y curiosamente fueron aquellas que cargaban mucho color (de lo que ya no soy muy fanática, pero al parecer voy a ser) las que mezclaron texturas y materiales, tonos rojos, complejos y exquisitos bordados florales pero no del tipo dulce y tierno sino del tipo rock star! En esa lista estuvieron Desigual, Anna Sui, Jeremy Scott, Tadashi Shoji, Nicole Miller y Adam Selman.

I'm not sure if the problem was me or what the heck but a lot of the shows and collections during New York Fashion week were so boring that I spent the 10-15 minutes the shows last pretty much yawning behind the camera and praying for them to be over. Very few collections caught my attention and made my eyes and brain pop, and for some reason they all happened to have a lot of color which I'm not a fan anymore (but apparently I'm going to be again), textures, layers which I love but I suck at doing, all tones of red and leather and the complexes and exquisite embroideries. The mix of flowers and leaves with a lot of rock and roll involved got me seriously excited about next fall and turned me into a groupie of some brands I can't afford but hey we will always have Zara...
