3 Days Detox|Post-Traveling / by Cinthia Contreras

You try to lead this healthy and disciplined lifestyle but then you travel and find yourself surrounded by mouthwatering food and a lot of wine, cheaper than a cappuccino by the way… Your so call discipline and willpower start succumbing and then you just let yourself go, but its ok there is this wonderful thing called DETOX after traveling and I found a doable one three days one:

Upon Waking:

Hot water with juice of half a lemon.

Breakfast: 

Smoothie #1: Blend 1 banana, 1 handful of blueberries, 2 tbs ground flax seeds, 1-2 cups kale, 3 ice cubes and 1/2 cup water

Mid-morning:

Coconut water or kombucha

 Lunch:

Smoothie #2: Blend 1 mango, 4 strawberries, 1 scoop of protein powder (or 1/4 cup almonds), 2 cups spinach, 3 ice cubes and 1/2 cup of water

Mid-afternoon:

1 apple

Dinner:

Salad: 3 cups of your choice of greens topped with half an avocado and your choice of raw veggies (tomatoes, cucumber, carrots, cucumber, or anything else you'd like) with 1 tbs olive oil and lemon juice for dressing.

Tips to keep in mind:

Make sure to drink lots and lots of water!

Avoid coffee and caffeinated tea, but feel free to drink herbal tea (peppermint, chamomile etc.) throughout the day.

WORKOUT!

It looks easy but true to be told when your palate and brain are overly stimulated by sugar and bad carbohydrates, simple diets can become a challenge, but never impossible so keep it up!
