As much as we love luxury and looking on point nowadays we have to be incredibly mindful on how we spend our money, which is a lesson learned after this worldwide “pandemic” hit humanity (tanking the economy and keeping people in fear over a 0.4% mortality rate virus and 99.96% full recovery, unlike tuberculosis, that permanently damage your lungs, unbelievable).

We at a point in this world, where governments are allowed to shut down countries whenever they feel like it and until they feel like it. So we shall be prepared to endure the consequences of stopping the economy but hey, even during the crisis some of us still like to keep our spirit up and look good, that is why finding creative brands that can deliver high-quality pieces at lower prices is always fantastic.

At ZARUX, all of our products are carefully crafted for each of our customers. When we say gold vermeil, we promise you high-quality jewelry pieces you would love to include in your jewelry collection.

All of our pieces are made of gold vermeil, a thick layer of gold over selected precious metal of 100% pure 925 sterling silver. The minimum karat for gold vermeil jewelry is 14k, but at ZARUX we give you above and beyond with 18k white gold and 20k yellow gold, with a thickness of 2.5 microns. The thickness of the gold vermeil is highly important, as less than 2.5 microns would be called gold plating and will therefore not be considered as fine jewelry anymore.

Since upholding quality is our number one priority and our promise to our clients, all of our jewelry are accompanied by high-level gemstones like Moissanite stone, ONYX, AAAA, and AAAAA cubic zirconia, and high-level freshwater pearl.

What is vermeil gold?

Vermeil (pronounced vehr-may; it's French!) is a legally regulated term that refers to a certain kind of quality jewelry. To be legally called "vermeil" in the United States, the jewelry piece must meet ALL of these conditions:

1. Have sterling silver as its base material. Sterling silver is an alloy made of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other materials, and is a standard material used in high quality jewelry (versus, e.g., brass or copper).
2. Be plated in gold that is at least 10k (10 karats). That means the gold is at least 41.7% gold content.
3. Have gold plating that is at least 2.5 microns thick. A micron is 1/1000th of a millimeter.
